Happy Thanksgiving - Papertrey Ink Favorites

Hi Friends!
I'm popping in today to share a card with a few of my favorite stamp sets.
Some old, some new - these beauties seem to permanently reside on my desk, so I finally thought I'd put them to use and share a little creation with you. And with Thanksgiving here, I also want to extend a big, thankful hug to you all. I am so (so!) thankful for each and every one of your visits, notes, and immense amount of support. Without you, this little place of mine wouldn't be the same. I dedicate this card to you! :) 


For the base of this card, I used Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Rectangle Stackables. It's one of my favorite go-to for bases. I love the different sizes, so it permanently stays on my desk. 


For the beautiful border, I used PTI's Stitch in Time stamp set, embossed in white over green paper.I layered it atop a soft peach cardstock, and used white cardstock as an insert to stamp a few little flowers and my sentiment. I added some sweet sequins and a bright red button, as well as some Nuvo Crystal drops in white. 


The flower cluster is from PTI's Rosie Posie stamp set, which is no longer available, but I think Gran's Garden would look just as lovely! I used colors of Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Vintage Jadeite, Green Parakeet, and Simply Chartreuse for the stamping. 


For the sweet, adorable birds that I simply can't put away, I used a combination of colors, and layers, playing with different gradients and ombre tones. I used Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, and Melon Berry for the pink bird, and Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, and Pale Peony for the yellow bird. Aren't they the cutest!?

I wasn't sure if they would be a set I'd only use in the Spring...But I actually think they work beautifully for any time of year, especially Autumn. And I can't wait to give them a Winter twist too.

With a Grateful Heart - Spring Nest Card

Every year, like clockwork, we see a family of Robins in our backyard, scouting and checking the surroundings as they prepare to build their little nest. This year, too, they've found a spot just near our back patio doors, tucked under a beam, covered by our back porch roof, and this is their third year returning to that very spot.  In a matter of days, they were busily gathering branches, twigs and grass for their nest. Of course, making a huge mess in the process! But we don't mind. It's all worth it to see the little babies emerge in June, and fly out of their little nest. It's so darling to watch them, drop out of the nest like little dumplings. Chubby, adorable, and so eagerly trying to take flight. For today's card, I created a nest of sorts, and a card of gratitude for all these small joys in our life. I started with a chipboard base for this card. I've got some sweet cards to share today, but first things first, I must announce the lucky reader and winner of some lil' buttons and mini felties... Betty Sue ! Betty Sue, your name was randomly selected for this prize! Congratulations!! Thank you to everyone who took the time to comment and guess on what is (still) waiting to be set up and enjoyed. It is a beautiful new BBQ, and it's just itching to be put together. But, as luck would have it, we've had nothing but forecasts for rain and snow, so our new little addition will have wait just a wee longer before we can put it together. But perhaps it's better this way, so I can take my time dreaming up all of the delicious recipes to try out! :) I've also been under the weather this week, hence why I dropped the ball on stopping in a bit earlier.
