Festive Holiday Card featuring Queen and Co. Merry & Bright Ornament Kit

Image
Have you started thinking about the holidays yet?  I know it's a tad early, but I've had the most delicious, wonderful parcels arrive in my mailbox and I simply couldn't resist the urge to play! I also love that this time of year, because of our still-colorful surroundings, I am inspired to make bright holiday cards.  Today I'm sharing a colorful number using the Queen and Co's  Merry & Bright Ornament Kit .  It is sooo jam-packed with tiny little trinkets, gorgeous dies, stamps and paper. The ornaments are beyond darling, and for this card, I decided to make a set of stringed ornament shakers. The ornaments are such a great size. They can be used as a single focal point or to be lined up in multiples like this. I used the kit paper pad for all the die-cutting, as well as the trim of gorgeous star paper. Isn't it so festive? Inside each ornament, I added some resin snowflakes (included in the kit), and a few little flat sequins. Just behind the ornaments, I ...

Sending Falala - Using Bows

Image
If given a choice, I would add a bow to every card! And when I have the chance to make a card full of bows, I'm all over that. Today, I did just that with an early festive card :) This little number was super easy to pull together if you have a stamp and die bow but you could easily use sticker bows, felt bows, ribbon bows, or really any other type of bow you can get your hands on! Of course, depending on the material, your card may be more dimensional, but it would be just as fun and whimsical! To start my card, I used a pretty pattern paper from Pinkfresh Studio's Let your Heart Decide collection  for the base. Such a beautiful little pad of paper!  For the bows, I used Pinkfresh Studio's Great Joy stamp and die set and PTI ink colors in hues of Melon Berry, Green Parakeet, Blueberry Sky, Hibiscus Burst, Orange Zest, and Hawaiian Shores. I used the lovely Queen and Company Circle Shaped Shaker set to create the sweet shaker, and filled it with candy colored sequins, rh...

Queen and Company - Circle Shaped Shaker Set Revisited

Image
Hello Friends! I'm back with more cards featuring the Circle Shaped Shaker Set . For my first card today, I’m sharing a shaker, but for my second card, I’m sharing a little twist on the fun dies included in this set. Here we go! First up, I wanted to take this beautiful shaker that features all three layers of circles, and really dress it up, so I added swirls of blended ink and heat-embossed sentiments to the base of the card. The pretty sentiments are included in the kit, and I used colors of PTI's Aqua Mist and Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral  for the blending. For the shaker I used paper from the Dots pad  and Birthday Bash pad. I added a lot of sparkly bits and bobbles inside and outside the shaker, including pearls , rhinestones, and Diamond Toppings , as well as pretty dots all over the shaker itself. I added a touch of striped ribbon and some flowers to the card for a romantic twist. I used Queen and Company Pom Flowers and Glitter Flowers in Purple. I also added swee...

Introducing Queen and Company Circled Shaped Shaker Set

Image
Today is such a special and exciting day! It's my first day over on the Queen and Company blog , sharing some fun cards with the adorable, super versatile Circle Shaped Shaker Set . I have lots of fun cards in store for you, but for today's purposes, I'll be sharing three cards, showcasing just how fun and versatile this beautiful shaker kit is! First up, I’ve whipped up a card inspired by all the things we love about the fun festivities Summer brings. Whether you call it a State Fair, a Carnival, or an Exhibition, one iconic feature of this splendid Summertime tradition,  is the yummy, colorful food! And so in that spirit, this little number was inspired by the soft, swirly tones of my favorite: cotton candy! I loved using the circle dies in this kit to make a card that wasn’t all about shakers. It shows just how versatile and fun this kit is to play with. Who doesn't love pretty, scalloped, stitched circles!  I paired the lovely circle dies with some pretty prints fro...
