Easter Jelly Bean Pouches - Papertrey Ink Botanical Letters

Image
Hi friends!  It's been so lovely to see the weather slowly turn from Winter to Spring.  We still have  long way to go, but with Easter just a little ways away, I'm reminded that it will be no time at all before Spring is upon us! I'm so ready to say goodbye to winter, and in anticipation, my craft space has been littered with Spring colors for weeks now. So today I'm popping in very quickly to share a colorful, little Easter pouch. I had these beautiful Botanical Letters sitting around from a few other projects I had done, so I inked them up and decided to use them for a felted pocket. I needed something to store some sweet treats, and thought that the Seed Packet die from Papertrey was just the perfect fit.  For the pocket, I used Blueberry Sky felt , and for the ink colors I used Bright Buttercup, Melon Berry, New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Melon Berry, Vintage Jadeite, Green Parakeet, and Aqua Mist.  I also added a stitched heart, inked with Raspb...

Rainbow of Flavors - Papertrey Ink Challenge

Image
A very quick project to share today. A wee tag with a rainbow of colors inspired by a lovely rainbow card I saw on the PTI blog! I was scrolling through t oday's gorgeous release projects over at PTI , and I saw Lexi's sweet card , which reminded me that I haven't used a rainbow in a loooong time. So here we are :) To start the tag, I used the Scene It: Basic Backer die from PTI, topped with another little colorful tag from October Afternoon (from a really, really old, but wonderful collection). If you're looking for similar vintage retro styles, you can check out their website here . Some very sweet eye candy on there :)  Okay, back to the tag :) To finish up this little number, I added some chevron yellow washi tape for the loop, a few paper flowers, and adorable little popsicles cut and stamped using the Frozen Treats collection from Stampin' Up . I used Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Harvest Gold, Bright Buttercup, Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores for the colors.   For ...

Sprinkled with Love - Papertrey Ink Glassine Bag Shaker Card

Image
Good morning!  There's a fun little project I want to share with you today and it's perfect for all sorts of celebrations. It's one that can be done with confetti, loose die-cut bits, sequins, or even tiny beads! Of course, I'm  talking about a colorful shaker!  I'm always on the lookout for fun and easy ways to make shakers, and this one is probably easiest of all :)  It only requires a glassine bag , some colorful shaker "material" and glue. Just fill, seal and add to project. So easy! To start this card, I added two soft patterns, a pink polka dot and a blue stripe to the base.  For the accents, I used a die-cut heart from Papertrey Ink cut with Limitless Layers: Hearts , and Limitless Layers: Heart Stitches dies.  For the fancy letters, I used Botanical Letters stamps and dies , stamped in Melon Berry, Lavender Moon, Sweet Blush and Spring Rain . Just below the accent heart, I added a little sprinkled cupcake, and my simple shaker. To dress up the sh...

Happy Day - Playing with Scraps

Image
Hello! I was inspired by a very sweet and talented fellow card maker, Lisa , to use up some of my scraps, after seeing one of her adorable cards ! I just so happened to have the same bitty scraps sitting around and thought it would be fun to give them a whirl! So today's card is an eclectic mix of little odds-and-ends.   To start this card, I used a lovely Prima stamp called Offset Dots  to stamp the background in a soft shade of blue, French Ultramarine from Ranger Archival Ink . On the side of the card, I added a wispy pink ribbon, with a Confetti Garland  die-cut from Papertrey Ink. To embelish the garland, I used buttons, heart stamps from Love Lives Here , and bitty confetti hearts from Neat and Tangled Little Bits dies . I added a large focal point at the top of the card, by layering all the little bits and pieces I had scattered about my scrap bin. Some of the pieces feature vintage flowers and sweet images, while others are leftovers from previous stamped pro...

Hoping Your Birthday is Sweet - Cupcake Toppers

Image
Morning!  How is your day so far? I hope it's sweet and wonderful!  Things around here have been looking very sweet, indeed..I've had my hands full with piles of little cupcake toppers.  It's such a nice change to switch things up and take a little departure from card-making. And I absolutely, positively love how these little toppers turned out.  The best part? They're so easy to make!  So even if you've never experimented with off-the-card crafting, I think you'll find these rather simple to whip together. To start this little topper, I used a scalloped circle base from Papertrey Ink's Scene It: Basic Backer die . I used a pile of Lavender Moon buttons to outline the edge of the base, before adhering a sweet vintage image.  For the sentiment, I used the Just Desserts Sentiments mini stamp set from Papertrey Ink, stamped in Pure Poppy ink. To finish off the design, I used Gran's Garden stamps and dies for the florals, stamped in Aqua Mist, Blueberr...

Heart of Gold - Neat and Tangled: One Stamp, Three Ways

Image
G'mornin!  How are you all doing today?  I'm channeling a bit more sparkle today, with three new cards, that all feature the same stamp. I wanted to do a different take with each card, so I'm sharing all three with you today! First up, I used a dash of cool color with a striped paper for the background. It's still very much winter around here, and these shades add a really frosty and fresh look to the card! Because I wanted to keep the card fresh and simple, I used a plain white star die-cut from PTI's Seeing Stars dies  as a large focal point.  To the star, I added a soft, flowy white flower, and an adorable Tiny Tag from Papertrey Ink. I used the same sentiment die-cut, stamped in two different colors, along with one left au-natural, to layer up. I stamped the sentiment in shades of Lemon Tart and Aqua Mist from Papertrey Ink.  And can I just say - I'm really quite fond of this Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cuts set ! At the bottom of the card, I added the fea...

A Friend's Heart - Layering with Patterned Paper

Image
Happy almost-Friday! I hope you've all had a wonderful week. This week, I had the opportunity to catch up with a dear old friend, whom I haven't seen for some time. It's delightful that our visits always feel like no time has passed at all. I think it's one of life's greatest blessings, knowing that despite the distance or time passed, we are never far from a friend's heart.  To start this card, I used a dotted, soft pink paper, layered on some white cardstock, with a wee bit of floral paper at the bottom. Just atop that, I added this darling journalling card, cut from a beautiful older paper, which I just cannot seem to find online (if anyone knows the name, please feel free to add a link in the comments). I wanted to keep this card sweet and simple, so I used only minimal embellishments, and decided to decorate with patterned paper.  My favorite way to play with patterns is to mix and match what I call the 'focal weight' of papers, while keeping things...
