Rain, Rain Go Away...

Image
It's been a dreary couple of days, and it looks like the rain is here to stay. I am very hopeful that sunny days will return soon, but I must admit, every once in a while, I enjoy a rainy day...Rainy days remind me to slow down, cozy up and enjoy the comforts of home. Tuck away the yard work, start a crackling fire, and settle in with a hot cuppa - and maybe even sneak in a little nap :) As much as I wanted to catch up on some zzz's today, I did something else equally as enjoyable and I am here to share it with you. Here are the bits I whipped up to brighten this gray day.  Inspired by the rainy showers outside, I made this bridal shower/engagement card and gift card pocket using beautiful Kaiser Craft papers, and WPlus9 stamps.  At the top of the card, I added a silky Prima bloom, along with some stamped leaves in Ocean Tides ink , using the WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals stamps and dies.  I used the same set to stamp the pretty flower and leaves just above the sentiment ban...

A Chilly But Wonderful Easter...

Image
Happy Tuesday! How are you all doing? Did you have a good Easter weekend? Did you have plans with family or simply enjoy the long weekend and relax?  We had a pretty quiet Easter, and enjoyed some time with my folks. We did a bit of egg dyeing, made some yummy Easter recipes, enjoyed lots of family time, and even did some scavenging (of the shopping kind). It was a wonderful weekend and lots of fun was had by all. And on top off all of that, the Easter Bunny (a.k.a. ma and pa) was especially good to us this year. Hubby and I have been pinching ourselves over our beautiful new gift, which is patiently waiting in the garage to be set up, just as soon as the weather perks up a  little. Care to take a guess what it is? I am giving away some Felties and Buttons to a random winner who can make the right guess between now and the end of the month. I will draw a name May first-ish and send some Spring goodies to the lucky reader!  Now I'd like to share with you a sweet, Springy...

~So Many Goodies~ **ETA: The Shoppe is currently sold-out of Molded Buttons, Shabby Ribbon, Sequin Envelopes, Felt Roses, and some flower designs. If you are interested in any of these items, please send me a convo here , by clicking on the "Contact" button. Thank you for all of your support!!** I must admit, despite my best intentions, I've been lacking in the Shoppe-updating department. As we all know, life is messy and unpredictable and sometimes best intentions get left by the wayside, while other important things take center stage. I've been meaning to get this post up for some time now, and I can't tell you how excited I am to finally do so! I hope you'll enjoy all the spring-y, yummy little treasures that I've created just for you! Here is just a peek of the crafty bits that have just been added to my Etsy Shoppe . Some old favorites, and even some new additions! To see all of the items, click here .  First up today...A returning favorite... Mini F...

A Cup of Thanks

Image
Happy Friday! The sun is shining here and I have a fun morning planned, but before I get to that, I wanted to pop in and quickly share these cards. I just love combining seasonal papers and themes for Thank You cards...In addition to sending a note of gratitude, it's a way to brighten someones day with a splash of color that is just right for the season.  I used the remaining bits of my beloved Kaisercraft collection to make these two cards, and one of them has already found a happy home :) I'm adding the second card to the Shoppe so that it too, can find a it's way to a happy recipient :) I used Stampin' Up stamps for the little tea-cup and sentiment. I don't remember the name of this set...The name "Tea Time" seems to be on my mind, but I just can't be sure. If anyone knows the name of this set, please feel free to share in the comments :)  I used a bit of blush lace to add some texture to all the layers of paper, and a couple of sparkly rhineston...

Love You Always

~A True Love Story...~ ...Never ends. I believe this with all of my heart :) Corny as it may be, I believe in the "happily ever after", and I have ever since I was a little girl. Even before I found my happily ever after, I was always sort of a cheese-ball when it came to sappy love stories! Silly or not, my wishes came true and both the Mr. and I are so blessed to have found our true love story in each other...  And the best part, is that I know in my heart his love story will never end :) To make this card, I used the beautiful The Best is Yet to Be stamp set for the sentiments, and the colorful background. I really, really love this set, for all of it's versatile flowers, leaves and sayings. It's a great go-to for lovey-dovey cards and projects - just my sort of thing! To stamp the background, I used Spring Moss , Ripe Avocado , Melon Berry and Sweet Blush ink from Papertrey Ink. I used the large heart outline to stamp vellum heart, and then used my scissors to ...

April Showers...

Image
~Happy Shower~ As we approach April, I've got showers on my mind. Not just the rainy kind...But the celebrating kind, too! Baby and wedding showers always make me smile and I love creating cards for them :)  For me, a shower is a rather new concept. The first shower I ever experienced was mere days after arriving in Canada. Our small town community organized a shower for my family, which consisted of a warm, heartfelt welcome by many of the towns residents, and all sorts of donations (from tea towels, to comforters and winter jackets) to help us start our new life in Canada. It was my first look into what can be accomplished when a community comes together to provide help and support to someone in need or well-wishes to someone entering a new stage in their life. I can honestly say that although our early days here were hard, the burden was lessened greatly by all of the caring members of our community...And I am forever thankful :)  For this reason, and so many more, there wi...
