Winter Bear Hugs - Close to My Heart + Papertrey Ink

Image
There are two animals that get extra special love and attention around here.  One is a duck - which has been my nickname for as long as I can remember....And the other is a bear, which is what I call my favorite person on this planet - my hubby.  So today's little project is super special to me since bears of all sorts are very near and dear to my heart. This little bear particularity reminds of the one I love so much...Extra cuddly and sweet and so very love-able.  To start, I used some white cardstock for the base, and a little bit of dotted vellum for the background. For the top of the card, I added a beige twill ribbon, and a lace bow, along with a crystal star pin.  Just below that, I tucked in a fussy cut stamped evergreen garland from PTI's Love Lives Here: Holiday stamp set, stamped in Pinefeather and Scarlet Jewel ink from PTI . Just below, and as a focal point, I used Close to My Heart's Jack stamp set to stamp and cut the little bear and the heart he's hol...

Happy Holidays - Papertrey Ink | Cranberry Orange Tarts Recipe

Morning Friends!  Another little Holiday card today along with a pile of festive Santa boxes.  You'd think that you've entered Santa's workshop if you took a peek inside my little crafty space...Glitter, and bows, and sparkly things...Tools and wrappings and all kinds of bits.... Everything scattered about as I happily pull together all of this Season's gifting.  This year, we will be gifting a lot of homemade baked goods and sweet confections, which means pretty boxes, sweet trim, and tags + cards of all shapes and sizes.  I love these bitty treat boxes that come all decorated and ready to assemble. It's saved me a lot of time in contrast to making my own, and since I've been a little under the weather this month, it's come in very handy having little things like this ready-to-go. I've also been looking for easy and quick recipes to help with keeping things simple as I get better, and I found one I just love!  I'm sharing it below, if you're int...

Cozy Holiday Layers - Papertrey Ink Tags

Happy Sunday :) I hope you are all enjoying a great weekend so far.  I have a little something fun to share today...Probably my favorite type of paper craft.  Miniature holiday tags, with oodles of teeny, tiny layers. Here's a little sneak of how I use all these little bits to make my tags come together. For me, there is nothing quite like cutting, decorating and assembling bitty little tags with colorful houses and sweet accents.  Whenever I make batches of tags, I start by cutting everything out and then taking my time just playing. A little stamping here, and a bit of glitter there...So much fun! I made a big batch of these little tags, and I'll be using some for our Holiday gifting. The rest can be found here. For this first tag, I used Papertrey Ink's  Scene It: Basic Backer die to create the background, and the  Scene It: Mountain View die for both the mountains and pretty evergreens. For the little house and trimmings, I used the Petite Places: Home and...
