Thanks a Bunch - Papertrey Ink

Image
It's been a while since I've sent out a handmade thank you, so I've whipped up a batch of these to keep in my stash (you know,  just in case I decide to go on another two year crafting hiatus :). In all seriousness, it's super handy to have cards like these pre-made to send out in a pinch. I'll be making some to stock up my shoppe soon, so you can have them at your disposal too!  For this card, I used a v pretty pattern paper. I just love the delicate design - reminds me of embroidery, which I'm sooo into these days. I'm thinking of doing something similar to this on a white linen pillow case, and I must try this combination of colors!   For the layering, I stamped a plain white cardstock piece with a heart background using PTI's Background Basics: Hearts  with Melon Berry ink on top and Sweet Blush ink on  bottom. I used the Limitless Layers: Hearts  dies to cut the two hearts. It looked a tad plain, so I added a bit of heat embossed text using a stamp...

So Glad We're Friends - Backgrounds using Simple Stamps + Repetition

Hey y'all!  Today I'm sharing a card with you that just makes me so very happy, and not for the reasons you might think. Yup, I love the colors. And I was inspired to create it after recently spending the most wonderful morning with my gal pals, so I love that it reminds me of my dear friendships. But what I love the most is that this card was created with very little in the way of fancy papers, or the latest +  greatest products.  I'll be honest, I'm feeling a bit of a lul looking trough my stash...Which hasn't been updated in ages! I've been away from papercrafting for some time and my style has changed quite a bit in that time.  So I spent a little while going through all the get-rid-of's to host another little sale - more on that another day - but what I really wanted to do, was find a way to reinvent some of my old stamp sets.  So I played with my stamps. For a whole hour , completely losing track of time... I forgot how wonderful that felt.  One thin...

Easter Wishes - Papertrey Ink + Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers

Back for another Easter share today. A bit late, but I"m still feeling super festive.   Before the weekend, I whipped up a batch of colorful Easter eggs, and I was super inspired to create a card with the same theme. I think this watercolored Easter egg is only made better with the fuzzy bunny ears...don't you think?  I used several layers of paper - I thought pink, yellow, green and purple were awfully cute + super Spring appropriate, and nothing gets my heart beating faster than polka dots & stripes, so easy decision there.  Before putting all the layers together, I stamped a few little florals on the  Rustic White cardstock  base, using the  Mini Blooms  stamp set.  I stamped in colors of  Blueberry Sky ,  Melon Berry ,  Hawaiian Shores , and  Green Parakeet . Top of the card, I've added a tiny bloom & crystal button with a bit of paint and a few dots.  I used a really pretty, detailed egg image to stamp + ...

Happy Easter

Hello friends!  It's so wonderful to see a few of your emails in my inbox + warm welcome back wishes! Thank you! Truly, it's so wonderful to be saying hi once again.  I wanted to share this little Easter tag duo with you, before I jet off to start prepping Easter supper.  This year, we're hosting and it's so great to be spending the day with family - cooking, watching old movies, dancing and enjoying time together. How are you spending your Easter this year? I hope it's wonderful, wherever you may be!  I was inspired to create a tag that was little outside of the typical Spring pastel range...I turned the shades down a notch into deeper, more vibrant picks...And I think I love this color combo!  For the tag I used aqua cardstock, tucked inside a glassine bag from PTI. Stamped on the glassine bag are a couple starburst images, embossed in white. On top of that, a little hot pink doily from Doodlebug Designs . I used PTI's Limitless Layers: Circle  dies...

Hello Friends! I knew this day would come eventually...And I am so glad to be back. It has been a while since I've stopped in last. Life has had our hands and hearts very, very full for the past couple of years. I sincerely want to thank you for your understanding and I am so very thankful for all of your messages, well-wishes and kind thoughts.  I hope you have all been keeping well - creating, loving life, and enjoying every moment.  I am determined do to better at staying in touch, and in due time, I'm certain that I'll return to crafting, blogging and etsy-ing in full force, but for now, I would simply like to share with you a little creation just in time for Easter. I recently picked up a set a of  Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers ... Ummm...They are ah-mazing ! They're such a dream to use - super blend-able and conducive to oodles of techniques because of the real brush tips that are near to impossible to stain, tear, or fray (ahem, a huge bonus for someone like...
