A Cup of Thanks

Image
Happy Friday! The sun is shining here and I have a fun morning planned, but before I get to that, I wanted to pop in and quickly share these cards. I just love combining seasonal papers and themes for Thank You cards...In addition to sending a note of gratitude, it's a way to brighten someones day with a splash of color that is just right for the season.  I used the remaining bits of my beloved Kaisercraft collection to make these two cards, and one of them has already found a happy home :) I'm adding the second card to the Shoppe so that it too, can find a it's way to a happy recipient :) I used Stampin' Up stamps for the little tea-cup and sentiment. I really, really love this set, for all of it's versatile flowers, leaves and sayings. It's a great go-to for lovey-dovey cards and projects - just my sort of thing! To stamp the background, I used Spring Moss , Ripe Avocado , Melon Berry and Sweet Blush ink from Papertrey Ink. I used the large heart outline to stamp vellum heart, and then used my scissors to ...

Our small town community organized a shower for my family, which consisted of a warm, heartfelt welcome by many of the towns residents, and all sorts of donations (from tea towels, to comforters and winter jackets) to help us start our new life in Canada. It was my first look into what can be accomplished when a community comes together to provide help and support to someone in need or well-wishes to someone entering a new stage in their life. I can honestly say that although our early days here were hard, the burden was lessened greatly by all of the caring members of our community...And I am forever thankful :)  For this reason, and so many more, there wi...
